1. Prepare qualified human accounting caders who can carry out the duties of the profession based on the needs of community.
2. o develop academic curricalla of the department in line with developments in the technical means and expansion of the use of computers in the operation of accounting information systems in the public sector and the private sector in the country.

To improve the level of academic performance to cope up with the requirements of the department in the future by attracting distinguished scientific qualifications and expanding the appointment of graduates who are scientifically distinguished as assistants and scholarships to complete their postgraduate studies in distinguished universities.
4. Encouraging scientific research and literature and increasing the channels for publishing such researches and writings and holding symposia and scientific conferences and encouraging the faculty members to attend and participate

The exchange of scientific visits between professors in various universities and the development of the Department's library and the provision of references, books and modern periodicals.To contribute to the efforts made to develop the accountancy profession through cooperation with the official professional bodies in the field of organizing their practice.
6. Contribute to the community service in the fields available, such as contributing to the continuing education activity and providing the scientific advice required by its institutions and others.

Program Study System:

The faculty relies on the quarterly system, i.e. semester system; the General bachelor degree (8 semesters) total of 132 hours, while the Bachelor of Honor – to be implemented soon- consists of 154 hours. The number of credit hours per course is 3 hour. It includes both practical and theoretical courses.

Level I: The total number of hours approved for the first and second semester is 36 hours.

Level II: Total number of hours approved for the third and fourth semesters is 36 hours.

Level III: Total number of hours approved for semesters V and VI 38 is hours

Level IV: Total number of hours approved for the seventh and eighth semesters is 38 hours.

Level 5: The total number of hours approved for the ninth and tenth semesters is 24 hours.

Teaching Techniques:

The method followed in the teaching process; the courses adopts three hours; 2 hours (Theory) and 1 hour (Practical).

Exam Scores:

The evaluation for examination is as follows: 70 degrees (exam) and 30 degrees (classwork).
