The General Union of Sudanese Students Launches a Major Awareness Campaign on the Dangers of Drug Abuse at El Imam El Mahdi University

As part of joint efforts to protect young people and combat negative social phenomena, the Training Secretariat of the Sudanese General Students Union in White Nile State, in partnership with the State Drug Control Administration and in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs at El Imam El Mahdi University, organized the Major Awareness Campaign on the Dangers of Drugs under the slogan: "Drugs Are a Hidden War – Let Us Unite to Fight Them."

The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences hosted the campaign activities from 23 to 26 June 2026. The program featured a comprehensive awareness day aimed at raising students’ awareness of the dangers of drug abuse, highlighting the global dimensions of the drug problem and its ongoing challenges, as well as discussing emerging issues and exploring innovative responses and solutions to address them.

The campaign witnessed active participation from the Deanship of Student Affairs, representatives of the organizing bodies, and a large number of faculty members and students. It also included awareness lectures and working papers presented by experts and specialists, focusing on strengthening the university and youth environment against the dangers of drugs and enhancing community awareness to mitigate the effects of this hidden war and protect future generations from its consequences.
