In the beginning we hope the advancement and excellence to university of El-Imam El-Mahdi and we congratulate the family of the university on the launch of the new website because it will help promote the university and upgrade its position among the regional and international universities since it is one of the specifications criteria. The postgraduate studies is considered one of the facets that reflects the university activities and particularly scientific research which treats most of the community problems. The deanship was founded in 2003 but the study started in 2004. It helped qualify a lot of students from White Nile and nearby states in addition to foreign students, for instance, from G.S.C.C and Africa.

The faculty would like to carry out the following aims as example:

1. Provide advance scientific research to serve the political, economic and social problems.
2. Satisfy the students’ needs of the academic qualifications

In the end the deanship plays a crucial role in qualifying and training the university teaching staff. It also makes the higher studies accessible to all inhabitants of white nile state. In addition the faculty has been witnessing perpetual and sustainable promotion in its programs and physical conditions and increasing in students’ number besides gaining international recognition by holding academic and cooperative agreements with well-known universities such as Yemen, Libya...etc.
