ملخص البحث:

    إتّسم العصر الحالي بالتغير الثقافي والتكنولوجي المتسارع مما وضع على عاتق المكتبات ومراكز المعلومات مسؤولية جديدة بالإضافة إلى دورها العلمي والتربوي، وهي العمل على اكتساب مهارات وخبرات تمكن العاملين والمتخصصين في مجال المكتبات من مجاراة هذا التطور وقد طرأت كثير من التغيرات في مهنة المكتبات والمعلومات متزامنة مع العصر الرقمي الذي أصبح مرتكزاً أساسياً تسعى مختلف المهن للحاق بتقانة المعلومات ونظمها المختلفة، وفي ظل هذه التقنيات الحديثة فإن المكتبات ومراكز المعلومات بدأت تعمل على إعادة النظر في خدماتها المقدمة، واستحداث أنماط جديدة من الخدمات في العديد من وظائفها.

 يركز هذا البحث على دراسة واقع ومستقبل تخصص علم المكتبات والمعلومات بولاية الخرطوم في إطار الآلية الرقمية من خلال إبراز نقاط القوة التي طبقتها المكتبات في مجال تقنية المعلومات ونظمها مستثمرة القدرات المتاحة لرفع مستوى أداء المكتبات ومراكز المعلومات. كما يحاول التعرف على المعوقات التي تواجه مهنة وتخصص علم المكتبات والمعلومات في البيئة الرقمية من خلال الاستبانة الموجهة لمجموعة من المهنيين والمتخصصين في هذا المجال.

Reality and Future of library and Information Specialty in Khartoum State within the Framework of Digital Shift

Abstract

   The current age is characterized by rapid cultural and technological change. Thus, libraries and information centers are burdened with new responsibilities in addition to their educational responsibility. They have to equip workers and specialists in the field of libraries with necessary skills and experiences so as to cope with this development. Therefore, the profession of librarianship has undergone many changes concurrent with digital age which has become a focal point that all professions strive to catch up with its information technology with its diverse systems. So, under the influence of these modern technologies libraries and information centers have started to reconsider the services  they provide and to create new patterns of services in several of their functions.

The present research focuses on the reality and future of the specialty of library and information sciences in Khartoum State within the framework of digital mechanism through highlighting the strength points that libraries have implemented  in the field of information technology and its systems, benefiting from the available capabilities in order to upgrade the performance of libraries and information centers. The research also attempts to find out the obstacles that the profession and specialty of library and information face in the digital environment via a questionnaire directed to a number of professionals and specialists in this field.
