Medicine

The faculty of Medicine was established in 1994 in Kosti town in the White Nile State by a republican resolution from the president of the republic. The faculty comprises the following departments:

Medicine and Surgery.
Medical Laboratories.
Higher Nursing.
Public Health.

Establishment & Development

The Faculty of Computer Sciences and Information Technology was established by a resolution of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on 19 April 2015. The college has two departments, the Computer Science department and the Information Technology department. With the expansion of university colleges and the increment in the number of university students, the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology is one of the most important achievements of Prof. Nur Al-Daem Osman Mohamed/ Rector of university. The College seeks to provide a qualified, scientifically and practically integrated academic model that is consistent with the technological development in the various departments of the college, consistent with the global standards and norms. Also to meet the local and national needs of professional and service institutions.

To develop an optimal academic environment aims to students’ enhancement. To equip them for leadership and creativity, to broaden their knowledge of computer and information technology, and to provide authentic research basis that serves local, regional and society needs.

To provide scientific and practical training in computer science and technology through advanced specialist courses.
To the capabilities and skills of students required in computer science field.
To strengthen and improve the institutional capacity for the human being element of different roles, to be valuable in an integrated system of the quality of technical and professional services.
