The Governor of the White Nile state, Dr. Abu Al Qasim Al Amin Baraka presented his speech in the opening session of the Third International Conference of Mahdism Studies organized by the University of El Imam El Mahdi in cooperation with the Faculty of El Imam Al Hadi which was held in the Chamber of the Judicial Branch in Kosti from 6- 8/11/2018. The conference was held in the presence of the head of Judiciary and the Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Council concerned with Mahdism Studies, Prof. Ali Mahmoud Mohamed, rector of University of El Imam El Mahdi, Prof. Nor El-Daem Osman, a number of leaders of the university, police and military agencies and a number of researchers from universities in Sudan, Nigeria, Egypt and South Sudan. The state governor confirmed the government full support to the achievements of the revolution in order to preserve the historical legacy that it left in the country, announcing the state Government sponsoring to the Conference outputs and the support to the basic structures of University of El Imam El Mahdi.

Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Council, Prof. Ali Mahmood who is concerned with the studies of the Mahdism history presented a speech on the history of the Mahdism Revolution and the factors of its success. He mentioned that the youth were the main pillars in spreading the meanings and values of El Imam El Mahdi and defending religion and homeland. Prof. Ali pointed out that the conferences reflect the challenges of the Mahdi Revolution. He finally confirmed the constant support to the conference through printing all the presented scientific papers at the conference.

According to the rector of University of El Imam El Mahdi, Prof. Nur Al Deam Osman, that the university has been organizing this International conference for three years with the participation of more than 100 universities, notes that this conference was dedicated to the character of Khalipha Abdullah Al-Ta'ishi and discusses seventy scientific paper about his life. Secretary of Scientific Affairs at University El Imam El Mahdi, Dr. Mutasim Siddiq, said that the university has established ten research centers to serve the community, including the Mahdism Studies Center which organized the Third International Conference. He insured that the Scientific Committee of the Conference will publish the presented researches in the university website and the scientific journals of the Sudanese universities. Vice president of the organization committee for the conference, Dr. Bilal Imam appreciated the efforts of those who contributed to the conference which confirms the interest of the university and the state of the Mahdism revolution history.
