Establishment & Development

University of ElImam Elmahdi is committed to play a leading role in building national capacity on improving health status of communities with special focus on endemic diseases control & treatment through its Centre of Epedimic Diseases Researches and Studies.

The centre is located in White Nile State (Kosti city) which is known to be one of the boundaries states with Southern Sudan country , a geographical location that reflect the importance of special attention to made for the abroad spread of epidemic diseases, in addition there were many agricultural and developmental schemes that be assessed in terms of their environmental and health impacts .

Vision

The Research and Studies unit seeks to be one of the leading centers of scientific research, research development and community service at the national and regional level. Also, its plan is to gain confidence from research institutions and community through the center's strong performance, diversity of studies and research and their effectiveness in development on the basis of knowledge and health activities of endemic diseases.

Mission

To actively contribute to the development of research skills and training of staff members of University of El Imam El Mahdi, government institutions and health community in the field of promoting public health, sustainable development in general and in the area of endemic diseases in particular at the national and state levels.

To establish research work base with a global reputation on a systematic scientific basis.
To raise awareness of research, its mission and its role in solving various health problems.
To train academic and research staff members at all levels, develop their skills and improve their efficiency.
To keep abreast of research developments in different fields at the theoretical and applied levels.
To exchange experiences with distinguished national and international training and research development institutions.
To provide academic research institutions with advisory services and development Studies.
