Representative of the Scientific Research and Innovation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Abdel-Aldafi’ Mohamed Makhawi mentioned that the ministry has adopted a new approach to developing the country's scientific research to contribute to development of the country, raising productivity so that it contributes to public and private sectors in improving the performance quality in the various local products. By the end of the training course which was organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research at El Imam Elmahdi University, Prof. Abdel-Aldafi’ added about funding and sponsoring research projects, that the Ministry of Higher Education has recently been able to provide funds to all researchers. Sponsorship and funding of scientific publishing process is a part of the Ministry of Higher Education's interest in all Sudanese universities to ensure a balanced process of training and project funding. Dean of Scientific Research Deanship, Dr. Ali Issa Jougan, said that scientific research is the main pillar of the Sudanese economy based on a systematic scientific study that reflects positively on the development of the country in all fields. The training course also included the strategies of scientific research and innovation, funding research projects, Incubators, research groups, scientific observatories, ethics of scientific research, electronic publishing and research partnerships. Dr. Ali concluded his talk with confirming the continuous training courses for teaching staff members to be conducted by the university in order to serve the state community in all fields.
