El Imam Elmahdi University hosted the fourth Forum of deans and librarians at the universities and colleges of Kurdufan sector organized by the deanship of libraries at El Imam Elmahdi University under the slogan (Towards a unique digital system). The forum was held in Judicial System Hall with the presence of the Head of the Judiciary, Mr. Ibrahim Abdulla Ibrahim, Representative of Libraries Deans in Kurdufan Sector Dr. Abdullah Ismail, the Dean of Libraries Deanship, Dr. Omar Mohammed Ahmed, a number of universities and colleges representatives in the state. Representative of El Imam Elmahdi University, Dr. Mutasim Siddiq during his talk in the opening session has confirmed that the forum aims to exchange experiences between universities of the sector to achieve a unique digital system. Also, the forum concerns about electronic archiving in libraries to provide the information to students and lecturers in order to keep up with technology. He added that a smart partnership between libraries and universities of Sudan is necessary to achieve the forum’s aims. On his part, Head of the Judiciary, Ibrahim Abdullah Ibrahim confirmed the support for all the activities and programs of El Imam Elmahdi University and then he added that the meetings represent a good gesture for the interaction and cooperation between the deans of libraries to exchange experiences to create a good digital technology For libraries for the significant contribution to the development of scientific research in all fields. Representative of Kurdufan Sector Universities, Dr. Abdullah Ismail noted that the importance of the forum is in holding smart partnerships, academic, technical and administrative cooperation between Kurdufan Universities and El Imam Elmahdi University. He added that the libraries contribute to provide information, which helps to raise the level of knowledge. Dr. Abdullah demands the need for digital work in libraries to help the researcher to extract information easily and is pleased to conclude his talk with the recommendations to unite the visions between universities of the sector and find the best ways to provide the most information. Finally, Dean of Libraries Deanship, Dr. Omar Mohammed Ahmed explained that the forum aims to connect the universities of the sector among themselves to exchange experiences and ideas and said that the forum concerns on the scientific aspects that benefit the universities. The event reviewed a paper titled “The Role of Information Sources in the Formation of Informational Awareness” and a survey study of Kurdufan universities.
