Faculty of Community Development is proceeding with meaningful and constructive initiatives besides the effective participation of the Faculty Dean accompanied by other community members promised for an urgent visit to Babikir Alnoor Gamza; a nursing home for the elderly category who represents life and treasure of experiences. The faculty’s representatives provided in kind materials covers the requirements of 15 inmates for a few days, with their confirmation and emphasis on enduring this support consecutively in order to improve the home environment by providing all necessary and urgent requirements.
Operators of the nursing home briefed the faculty’s delegation on the urgent needs, which can be classified into three sections:
First: Preventive which includes health, awareness and media services that reflect issues and concerns of the elderly, and thus expand the scope of supporters to the elderly.
Second: Psychological and counseling services to the elderly and their families.
Consultations that enable the preparation of a joint plan that will contribute effectively to provide a living, decent cover, hope and shelter for the elderly are the basis of a healthy society.
