Information about colleges

The deanship of libraries was founded in 2009 and was previously linked to the secretariat of Scientific Affairs where the Office of the Deanship was established by the university’s administration at Kosti.  In the year 2011, the deanship moved to the city of Rabak at Community Development College, and in 2013 it moved to Aljazeerah Aba at Sharia and Law College. The deanship has established several sections:-

• Technical Operations Section of the libraries at Aljazeerah, Rabak and Kosti’s complex.
• University Library Services Section.

The deanship comprises seven libraries:-

• Library of Medicine and Health Sciences College.
• Engineering and technical Studies library.
• Library of Economics and Administrative Sciences College.
• Nursing and Postgraduate Library.
• Library of Computer and Information Technology College.
• Library of Arts College.
• Library of Sharia and Law College.

Participations of Deanship
•    The Deanship participated in the coalition of academic libraries at the University of Alnilain in two sessions (2016-2017)
•    Participated in the conference of the Sudanese Association for Libraries at the University of Al-Azhari in its session (2016-2017)
•    Participated in the conference of the Sudanese Association for Libraries at Madani in 2017

State-level Deanship contributions

• The deanship made a proposal for the establishment of the state Information centre.
• The Minister of Education has handed over a proposal for the establishment of the school library and its establishment mechanism.
• The deanship set up lectures about the school library in Aljazeera City and Rabak.

In the Field of Training
The deanship trained its employees in the following fields:

• Electronic archiving
• Kuha system
• Mark System 21
