The Faculty of Public Health at University of El Imam El Mahdi was established in 1999, when it was operating as one of the departments in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences that offers a general bachelor's degree in four years. After graduating the first batch in 2005, the department of Public Health was upgraded to the Public Health Program. Lately, In 2018, the program was separated from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences to become the Faculty of Public Health and Environmental Health in its current name. After reviewing and upgrading the academic curriculums, a fifth year was confirmed and added to the academic system of the faculty. The faculty offers a general bachelor's degree in Public Health in four years for students who score less than very good and a Bachelor of Honor in Public Health in five years for those who score very good grade and above.
